Quick and Easy Chicken Tandoori Burger

Burgers are great. I love a nice big juicy burger. But sometimes, it is nice to have a variation. For example, Greek lamb burgers are awesome. Vegetarian aloo tikki burgers are awesome. And now, so are chicken tandoori burgers. They are seriously easy to make, and they are full of flavor, not to mention… they don’t come with the guilt of a regular fatty burger. I highly suggest you use a coriander mint  yogurt chutney as a condiment. You won’t regret it.

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • the juice of one lemon
  • 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 tsp garlic paste
  • 2-3 tbsp tandoori masala powder or paste
  • 2 tsp oil or ghee

To Make:

Combine all ingredients except oil and shape into patties. Heat oil on medium. Cook patties around 4-5 minutes on each side until done. It may take a little longer for bigger patties.

  1. i’m intrigued by the idea of a chutney with yoghurt? thought most chutney’s were basically pickles? Do you have a recipe for the coriander mint yoghurt chutney you mention? sounds delicious

  2. Oh man. I just ate breakfast but now I’m hungry. That melting cheesy goodness over the burger is calling my name. Seriously, when are we having beers and burgers together? My place? Tonight!? x
