French Vanilla Stuffed French Toast

So I had a craving for French toast the other day. Don’t ask me why. I have never known a person to crave French toast. Actually, I wanted stuffed French toast. So, I went to the store and got what I needed and came home and made myself a delicious sweet dish. I even made some for my lovely neighbors. This was their response: ” I almost cried. It was like heaven entered my mouth and I was not good enough for it.” Soooo there you have it. You should really make this stuffed French toast. Heaven will enter your mouth. M9tpRNAAbTEuPxPUDAQwM6RRbIx1wfDDHNJIdqKdi3c

  • a loaf of Italian bread, or a loaf of French bread
  • Strawberries
  • butter
  • cream cheese
  • strawberry jam (preserves, jelly, whatever)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup French vanilla coffee creamer
  • cinnamon to taste
  • powdered sugar
  • frozen cool whip (optional)
  • ice cream (optional)

To Make:

Slice the break into thick slices, enough to be able to make a slit down the middle for the stuffing. hAGOuK27NRe1XpYhlazLTQPdEwBVqKADLIAfxZ2cqa8

You will probably want to add around 2 tablespoons of the stuffing, so depending on how many people you are making this for, combine equal amount of cream cheese and jam. Mix until smooth. Mine had lumps. I didn’t care. It’s all going in the belly. 4yfpP1a_7L37UliBk05H_TLPRyedgPyKTHDctTy2Ezw 7wyPG21ZEUpeJfida526nhi6BeBH7Cw9cLWC86pSR9s

Cut up the strawberries and sprinkle a little sugar over them and stir. Let it sit for a few minutes. pBv2rbRVGO9NaFEwAgm9sVxutH5cuOGSthk4WSqWl9U

In a bowl, whisk the eggs, creamer, and cinnamon.

Heat pan on medium high and let butter melt. 8tdDv9wPPyEqVK8fGeWDXbsH5X4T5eiBV_gJ0sHf7QUAdd about 2 tablespoons of the cream cheese mixture to the slit of the bread, along with some strawberries. Close. Make sure the edges are as close to being closed as possible. Soak the pieces in the egg mixture for about 20 seconds on each side. wkWLD2_8sL4noOICtZpwPgWlLR9aye8cvTRDoIxopkQ m65C0VKwLJMmpTyo5wtFXMY7V43vV4bxmSAF7LWDVd4

When the butter has melted add the stuffed toast to the pan. gXZkGL6_KXD23rYdY_oidhKjHd14iNGI26zLnTerx_s

Cook for a few minutes, or until nicely golden brown. Flip and cook until done. Iisjcyu4E5LGpzx_DFTb-w6GxQrC96ARvMWOw1bNuo8

Sprinkle with powdered sugar. If you want to get fancy, add cool whip and ice cream. NilFRkbdwEk9SLFm0vWILpL9dozM7LmPE4hW4CgGsnc

Isn’t it pretty? And yes, it tastes as good as it looks.
