Spicy Chocolate Samosas

If you are looking for a nice spicy addition to a sweet, try a spicy chocolate samosa. They are really easy to make. This was just an experiment, but it turned out quite well. It was a little too spicy for me, though. I can’t handle cayenne pepper, but I can handle all sorts of Indian spicy that you can throw at me. Go figure. The thing about these, is that the spice doesn’t hit you until a while later. It kind of sneaks up on you. But it doesn’t last long. It really confused my mouth, so even though other people enjoyed these, I am not sure I will be making them again.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of any chocolate you want, I used milk chocolate
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • chopped nuts, I used walnuts
  • wonton wrappers
  • powdered sugar

To Make:

Preheat oven to 350. Take the wonton wrappers and cut them in half if you want mini, or leave them as they are. Using water, wet the sides of the wrappers.

Heat the chocolate in a microwave safe container in 15 second intervals, and stir until melted. Stir in cayenne and nuts. Drop some on the wonton wrappers and fold and press the seam. IMG_20130329_162022 IMG_20130329_162700
